FDA approves sale of milk and meat from cloned cows

Hi everyone -

I have recently learned that the FDA approved the sale of meat and milk from cloned animals. I personally (as well as the majority of Americans who were surveyed) do not approve of this. Unfortunately, the FDA does not require the labeling of such products as coming from cloned animals, nor does it require any sort of tracking of the offspring of cloned animals. Without this information, my choice (and my children's) to avoid milk and meat products from cloned animals has been taken away. I find this to be unnacceptable. If you feel strongly about this, and wish to avoid consuming such products, and you see the need for proper labeling in order for you to have that choice, please do something about it. If you feel it is your right, and in your best interest, to know where your food is coming from, you can let Congress know where you stand. Please visit the websites below for more information, and please, tell everyone you know. Pass it along. If we all stand by and do nothing, nothing will be done about this issue. You can bet that the suppliers of these products lobby hard against the labeling. Tell Congress that we do not agree with their business practices, and at the very least, to require the labeling of cloned animal products so that you can make the choice for you and your family.

Thank You!
